Veiny vetchling grows in places similar to those favored by white vetchling (L. ochroleucus) in the deciduous and coniferous regions, in upland woods and forests. It also occurs in savannas and prairies where the soil is moist. It trails or climbs weakly by tendrils and has pretty pinkish-purple flowers.
